Mohammed Ben Sulayem is the Arab world’s most influential motor sport figure.

The first Arab ever to be elected to the World Motor Sport Council, the most powerful body of the FIA, Sulayem also holds the position of FIA Vice President for Sport. Recognized as a sporting ambassador for the Arab world, Sulayem has a permanent place in the record books of motor sport.

As a driver, Sulayem has won more FIA regional championships, and more international rallies, than any other competitor in history. He became a rallying legend by winning the FIA Middle East Championship 14 times, and achieved more than 60 international rally wins in his home region and overseas.

As President of the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE, he heads an organization which is the officially nominated representative in the Emirates of the FIA, motor sport’s world governing body, and its motor cycling and classic car counterparts, the FIM and FIVA.

On their behalf, it supervises all organized motor sport events in the UAE, provides a growing range of services for motoring tourists and runs a UAE-wide road assistance operation. As an event organizer, Sulayem launched the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge in 1991 and established it as one of the world’s leading international cross country rallies.
